Best free Excel courses on YouTube, ranked by total hours
Updated 2026-09-22 · 10 courses · totals are live
Excel is taught better on YouTube than almost anywhere else, mostly by a handful of people who have been doing it for fifteen years. The playlists below cover the full range — a first spreadsheet, formulas and lookups, charts, dynamic arrays, Power Query and a full data-analysis class — and every one is complete and free.
The hours are live totals from each playlist. Excel videos are short, so a 60-video series is often only a few hours; check before you assume you don't have time.
From 2h 10m (Excel for Beginners) to 1d 5h 45m (Full Advanced Data Analysis & BI Class (MSPTDA). Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX, M Code, Power BI & Excel (30+ Videos)).

- Heading into analytics or BI? MSPTDA. It's long because it's the whole subject.
Learn it in sessions
Excel sticks when you use it right after watching. Set the planner on a course page to 20–30 minutes a day and do that day's lesson in a real workbook; tick videos off as you go. The plan exports to your calendar, or you can subscribe so it follows the playlist. How long it takes to learn Excel on YouTube compares these ten courses by hours and shows which are courses and which are collections.
