Best free GCSE and A-level revision courses on YouTube, ranked by total hours

Updated 2026-10-13 · 14 courses · totals are live

GCSE and A-level revision on YouTube is mostly free and mostly good: Cognito for the sciences, Corbettmaths for maths, Mr Bruff for English. What a revision playlist doesn't tell you is how long it is, and with exams in May and June, that's the number your revision timetable is built on.

The numbers next to each playlist are live totals from the playlist itself, ranked longest first. Click one to see every video, tick off what you've revised, and get a finish date.

How to plan revision

  • Count back from the exams. GCSEs and A-levels run from May into June. Put your first exam in the planner and it tells you how many minutes a day each playlist needs.
  • Check your exam board. Several of these playlists follow AQA. Most of the content is shared between boards, but the paper structure isn't, so check which board you sit.
  • Revision isn't only watching. A twenty-hour maths playlist needs as long again in past papers. Plan both.

Finishing one
