Best free Java courses on YouTube, ranked by total hours

Java is still the first language at a lot of universities and the default for campus placements in India, so there is no shortage of free courses. What they don't agree on is length. The beginner series below take 12 to 17 hours; the longest go past 60 and cover memory, garbage collection and concurrency. Decide how deep you want to go before you pick a teacher.

How to choose

Complete beginner? Bro Code or Alex Lee for short lessons, Telusko if you want a bit more on each topic. All three are in English and under 17 hours.
Preparing for placements? Kunal Kushwaha in English or Apna College in Hindi. Both teach the language and the data structures together. For more DSA afterwards, see the DSA list.
Want to know how Java actually works? Coder Army or Concept && Coding, both in Hindi. They are long because they go into memory, the JVM and concurrency.
Already know Java? Move on to Spring Boot. Telusko's course is the gentlest, Engineering Digest builds one real app end to end, and Concept && Coding goes deepest.
